David Szigeti born and raised in Hungary, Budapest. His interest in music was present from his early childhood as both of his parents were musically educated. Those were the reasons why he started to learn in a Music Faculty Elementary School. He started to learn play cello from age 7 in the Aelia Sabina Music School in Budapest Hungary, then he continued his studies in the Tibor Pikéthy Secondary School of Music in Vác Hungary. He is holding a Masters of Music in Education, Cello, Choral Directing Diploma from the Liszt Ferenc University of Music. He has over ten years of music teaching experience, including teaching cello in music schools, group theory and private cello lessons, as well as choir direction in Budapest. Besides teaching at Vancouver International School of Music, and current musical performances, he is currently working as a group cello teacher in Vancouver Waldorf School, and the Mozart School in Burnaby. He has orchestral experience as soloist and section leader, and has played in musical groups for recording purpose.  He worked together several great musicians and conductors, such as Tamás Vásáry, Rico Saccani, Uri Mayer, Leslie Dala, Wendy Bross Stuart  (at TUTS in the summer of 2017 and 2016). As a composer he currently worked with local groups to perform his compositions, and as an amateur actor he is use to perform in plays at the Vancouver Hungarian Theatre.
